Veda means the knowledge of the true nature of life, vedic means relating with the truth concerning the true meaning of life. If a person realizes the true meaning of life, they can function perfectly according to natural laws. In this way all the aspects of life will be spontaneously harmonious.

At ashtachakra.com, we understand that vedic texts sometimes contain ambiguous or contradictory hymns that raise questions rather than solve them. We understand that the Vedas have conflicting descriptions. Since the Vedas consist only of unexplained Sanskrit hymns, it becomes more difficult to actually understand the implied meaning of the hymns. That's why it can be said that the Vedas cannot be studied. Instead, they reveal themselves to a chosen few who are willing to think beyond the literal meaning of Sanskrit poetry. 

This is where many early Western interpretations and translations have failed, because they gave  a very different meaning to pious vedic Sanskrit hymns.
